Who We Are

We are a Christian non-profit organization reaching out to the lost through LOVE and COMPASSION

About Us

“JESUS LOVES YOU LOVE HIM BACK” is a 501c3 non-profit organization that reaches out to the lost through love and compassion. Founded in 2009, we operate our ministry according to Matthew 25:31-46, which calls us to care for the poor, the hungry, the sick, and the imprisoned.

We feed hundreds of people on the streets each week and welcome many into our homes and lives. We visit the sick in hospitals and nursing homes, and have been visiting and encouraging prisoners at a local prison since 2015.

In addition to providing basic necessities such as clothing, blankets, and hygiene products, we also provide furniture and appliances for those who are fortunate enough to get jobs and places to live. But the most important things we give are Bibles and the Word of God.

Through our efforts, amazing things are happening for God’s Kingdom and Glory! We are honored to serve Jesus by serving the least of these. Join us in our mission to spread love and compassion to all.

History

The history of Jesus Loves You Love Him Back Ministries is the personal testimony of Michael Higgins, the founder of the organization. His testimony encompasses three perspectives: before he started using cocaine, during the 23 years he suffered under its addiction, and after God miraculously delivered him from drug addiction and other vices. Following his recovery, God entrusted him with the Jesus Loves You Love Him Back feeding ministry, which began in 2009 by feeding 25 homeless people in Orlando, Florida. Since then, the ministry has grown to feed 450,000 meals in four countries and continues to expand. We received 501c3 status in 2014 and now feed the homeless once a month in multiple cities in Florida, as well as in other locations across the United States, Brazil, the Philippines, and around the world.

Missional Scripture

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Founder

Michael Higgins has a unique and inspiring story of personal transformation. Having struggled with addiction for 20 years and having lost everything, and after many attempts to get cleaned up, He finally found redemption in 2009 when he had a miraculous encounter with Jesus; got sober and relocated from Philadelphia to Orlando. In the years since, he has devoted himself to the service of others in Jesus’ name, focusing primarily on feeding those in need.

Despite the obstacles he has faced, Michael remains steadfast in his commitment to his mission. As stated in Philippians 3:14, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” He is driven by a desire to make a positive impact and atone for the mistakes of his past. His goal of serving one million meals is a testament to his unwavering dedication to this mission.
