Michael Higgins has a unique and inspiring story of personal transformation. Having struggled with addiction for 20 years and having lost everything, and after many attempts to get cleaned up, he finally found redemption in 2009 when he had a miraculous encounter with Jesus.  He got sober and relocated from Philadelphia to Orlando. In the years since, he has devoted himself to the service of others in Jesus’ name, focusing primarily on feeding those in need.

Despite the obstacles he has faced, Michael remains steadfast in his commitment to his mission. As stated in Philippians 3:14, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” He is driven by a desire to make a positive impact and atone for the mistakes of his past. His goal of serving one million meals is a testament to his unwavering dedication to this mission.
